What should you focus on in these last 25 days of your GMAT journey?
So, the D-day is coming. Are you done with your preparation…? Are there some sections that are your weak points…? still trying to cope up with the time am…? Well, at this stage when the exam is just on 25 days you should focus on building your strength and mitigating your weak areas rather than spending time on learning new concepts. every minute is important. last-minute cramming for the taste like GMAT is just not a choice. you have to give it all to make your perfect score. Concentrate on focus areas:
To know your strong points you should analyze yourself with the help of a mock test. IMFS openly arranges the mock test for you so that you will get a perfect production of which are your strong sections and which are weak so that you can prepare your study strategy according to that. so attempt a sample mock test first and get the results. You can consult your results with a GMAT consultant. Then comes preparing a perfect exam strategy which includes reviewing and learning concepts to make your strong areas stronger but identify weak areas so that you won't lose marks over there. maintain an error log tracking in order to improve more.
Analyze your results:
While analyzing your results, do check your correct responses as well as incorrect responses. In case of correct answers you should identify your approach whether it is logically correct or was it just a lucky guess….? make sure you build your intellectual and logical ability before sitting in the actual exam.
E.g., If your answer is correct by just a lucky guess in any section like quants, Revisit the concept files and attend the application quiz. many of the questions that are available with the answer keys so you can refer the ideal answer keys to improve your approach.
If your answers are incorrect then you must understand the real reason behind the incorrect answer. Is it your lack of preparation or you did not understand the question…? most of the time the reason behind incorrect answers are -
Lacking knowledge of the concept
Inability to apply the concept on the question
Faltered in initial step of the process
Analyze yourself and review the concept again and again and go for the mock test again. To know if you are prepared to give the next mock test major your ability levels by taking section-wise quizzes. If you do well in all sections then go for a mock. Attempting more and more mock tests will not only clear your concepts but also build your confidence to attend the actual exam.
