I have been always a meritorious student in my class. I have always been one of the top
three students in terms of academics. I was mostly the unanimous topper of the class except
for a few occasions when I either fall sick or skipped the exams due to some reasons.  While
reading this you should not picturise me as a studious person who is bookaholic and a
bookworm. My personality is more than that. I have always been actively participating in
sports and co-curricular activities as well. I have even been the captain of a few teams from
my schools. I always believed that I shouldn’t restrict myself to either sports or studies alone.
I should let myself bloom and grow in all the aspects of life equally.  It was not only my
fundamental idea but also of my parent’s. It is one of the reasons for them supporting me
through all of the activities I would participate in. being such a good student in the school, my
next destination was to land in the country’s prestigious colleges to attain my undergraduate
degree course.
It wasn’t difficult. I worked really hard for it. I studied as much as I can and I practised as
much as I should. After a few months of turmoil and getting lost in my studies, I got the
admission in one of the top 5 institutes of the country. The day results came and I got to
know that I will get the admission into my dream university. It was ecstatic. Our entire family
went out for the family dinner and we immediately planned for an outing after my admission.
Everything went as per the plan. I got the admission and then during the break went out for
the family outing. It was all going well.
The institute was really good. The academics, sports, co-curricular everything was wonderful.
There was a lot of exposure and awareness about everything of importance. As always, I
was among the best students of the class and therefore got picked up for the student
exchange program with a European country. It was extremely delighting. I almost screamed
and jumped as soon as I heard the news. I immediately called my parents and shared the
good news with them. They were even more happy than I was and almost screamed through
the phone. Everything went well and we landed abroad a fortnight after that.
It was amazing. Their entire university, educational program and pattern, their college culture,
everything was so mesmerizing. If it would have been a person, I would have immediately
fallen in love with him. It wasn’t that ours is any bad, it’s just that there was different and
enticing. It was at that particular moment that I decided to complete my post-graduate degree
and specialization from abroad.
Upon my return, I started searching and exploring the options that could help me get
admission abroad. After a lot of research and thinking I decided to give the prestigious
graduate record exam or GRE exam to study abroad.  I knew that I had the potential to
crack it on my own but the concept was entirely new to me and time was the real constraint.
So I again started searching for the guidance and assistance options and ended up visiting
IMFS website www.imfs.co.in . I found it really good and enrolled in one of their programs for
GRE. It was shortly after starting the coaching program I became quite confident about my
chances of cracking the exam. I decided to give GRE exam to study abroad in Mumbai
itself as it was my nearest location. The result was extremely overwhelming as it was my
passport to study abroad. I could have gotten into any university of my choice and so I did.
I am glad that I chose IMFS and finally achieved my ultimate goal. It wouldn’t have been that
easy without IMFS.
